Refund & Returns

Each piece created by The Timber Collective is handcrafted from natural wood and made in small batches or to order. Because of the nature of our materials and process, our return and refund policy is designed to be fair while protecting the integrity of handmade work.

1. Natural Material Disclaimer

Wood is a living material. Variations in:

  • Grain pattern

  • Colour tone

  • Knots

  • Texture

  • Minor surface undulations

are natural characteristics, not defects.

These differences make every piece unique and are not eligible for return or refund.


2. Order Cancellation

Before Production Starts

You may cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it for a full refund.

After Production Starts

Once crafting begins, the order cannot be cancelled as materials and labour have already been committed.

Custom or engraved items cannot be cancelled once confirmed.


3. Returns

We accept returns only in the following cases:

  • The item arrives damaged in transit

  • You received the wrong product

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and unboxing video.

Without an unboxing video, we may be unable to process damage claims.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind

  • Minor size expectations

  • Natural wood variations

  • Slight colour differences from screen displays


4. Replacement Policy

If damage is verified:

We will arrange one of the following at our discretion:

  • Free repair

  • Replacement

  • Store credit

  • Partial refund (case dependent)

We may arrange pickup through our courier partner.
Do not ship the item yourself unless instructed.


5. Refunds

Refunds are issued only when:

  • Replacement is not possible, OR

  • Order is cancelled before production

Refund timeline:

  • Processed within 5–7 business days after approval

  • Bank processing may take additional 3–10 working days

Refunds are credited to the original payment method.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error is ours.


6. Custom & Engraved Pieces

All customised, personalised, or engraved orders are final sale.

These items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded unless damaged during delivery.


7. Care Responsibility

Damage caused after delivery due to improper care, water exposure, heat, or misuse is not covered under this policy.
